I have a soft spot for decorating that blurs the lines between interiors and exteriors. To create a space that becomes one with its surroundings is to create a space that is both relaxing and esthetically pleasing. One of my favorite decorating themes is the nautical look. Using bold, crisp colors and natural materials such as wood and fiber can make everyday feel like a day on the beach.

Note: The use of lighter wood throughout the room conjures up images of driftwood on the beach.
