eighth in the”Fabulous Fall 2012 Fashion Trends” series
Perhaps it’s because I’m a huge fan of the British show Downton Abbey or maybe it’s because English tweeds and plaids just look so warm and comforting this time of year. Whatever it is, I love it! Of all the fashion trends for 2012, the English Aristocrat Trend is the one I obsess over. Some call it the Downton Abbey effect; others call it a tribute to the English Countryside. Regardless of its name, the result is stylish and elegant. Designers let their creativity run wild and interpreted the look in different ways. Ralph Lauren focused his collection on menswear-inspired looks that were feminine and chic, while Louis Vuitton resurrected the world of pre-World War I aristocrats.
