Style for the Classic Woman does not begin and end with the clothes she wears. Rather, it is a sense of style that spills over into her stationery selections, the pens with which she writes, and the rooms in which she lives. In the world of interior decorating, style is not about spending a lot of money, it is about putting a room together that truly reflects your personality. One way to add a bit of “you” to every room is to use your personal “stamp” to create your signature look. A personal stamp is anything that represents the inner you, for example roses, horses, music boxes, fashion motifs, etc. By including them in each and every room a sense of continuity as well as personality is established. Sometimes the “stamp” takes center stage, while other times it is almost a “Where’s Waldo” kind of hid-and-seek to find it.
Jackie Kennedy Onassis, an avid horsewoman, had a “horse” stamp and used it throughout her Manhattan apartment. By having a unifying stamp from room to room, she created a signature look that says “Jackie O”.
